So my friend Nick Suda recently shared these two improvisational sets we recorded in the dorms during our first year at Berklee. For these recordings I was using electric guitar and plenty of pedals, while Nick's rig consisted of a Korg Electribe EMX-1, a Kaoss Pad (either a KP1 or a KP2), and a Nintendo DS. The initial reason we were recording was to generate music for a series of exercise videos that my aunt was making, and some of the music we made did end up on these DVDs. Up until Nick shared the full sets recently, I don't think I had listened to them since we first recorded them. It's always weird for me listening to what I sounded like improvising from a while ago (5 years ago in this case)...but it was really cool relistening to these and thought I'd re-post both sets here:

Slide
So I heard from a couple folks that they were bummed that they missed my Goo Goo Dolls cover from Wednesday night on WRIU, so figured I'd post a video of it here. I just recorded it at my parent's house with a computer microphone and camera, so sorry that the quality isn't great.
But there will be better quality live videos with me using all my gadgets and such coming in the near future. My next live show is going to be in RI on my birthday, March 30th, at my folks place. More details on that to come.
Best,
Mike

The Killa B's THREE Hour Radio-Hour
I'll be a guest DJ tonight on The Killa B's THREE Hour Radio-Hour on WRIU (90.3 FM), which is always a great time. I've got some vinyl lined up, some new tunes from Koala, and might play a reimagining of a 90s jam or two live. So feel free to tune in on your radio dial (if you're in the RI area) or on your computer between 9:00 and 12:00 tonight!
