SPRING SET - 2015

SHOWZ:
- I'll definitely preview some of the Spring material at this one - but will not be getting too crazy at this one - and might play older safer/more accessible material depending on the audience -

-This will be the first show that I'll really be debuting the spring set -
-Of the Sun will be playing an alternative & experimental set-
-couldn't be more stoked for this one.  Shit's gonna be wild-

-Tickets for this are $35 - BUT - there are three stages, food, crazy deco, and a tea-lounge-
-And the lineup our the Ritual Stage alone is dope-
-AND it's a fundraiser for Of The Sun for their West Coast tour-
-Secret Location in JPish - hit me up for details-

SHOWS WITH DATES TBD

I'll be playing a show at my parents house in RI at some point during the Spring
-might be the last one before they move-
-hit me up if you want to be a part of this-
-it'll be a celebration of all the music that went down there-

I'll be playing a show at Next Step in Cambridge at some point in the future
-this will most likely be a benefit for youth living with life threatening illness-
-not sure what I'll be playing for this or when it'll be happening - but stay posted if yr interested-

ABOUT WHAT I'LL BE PLAYING
It's definitely the most psychedelic of the four different season sets and is largely inspired by my brother's work.  We'll be starting from that cross section of the mobius strip and climbing up from that void to fall right back down the rabbit hole like sisyphus - shit gets pretty dark down there - but HEY: look where we're heading  <3

much love,

Mike

Next Step Block Party - March 20th

For the past five years I've been blessed with the opportunity to work at some camps for Next Step (an organization that puts together programs for youth living with life threatening illnesses at absolutely no cost for the youth).   Working as a music therapist at these camp/conferences has been nothing short of life changing - and I'm sure many who have been a part of their programs would probably say the say the same (both staff and youth).

So because they charge the youth nothing to attend - a huge chunk of the money that is required for running these camp/conferences comes from an annual benefit/party that they throw every year.  This year, it falls on the Spring Solstice, Friday, March 20th.

I'll be playing guitar in the house band for it (which is made up of all music therapists), and I promise Kimberly Khare has cooked up some tasty new medley madness.

So if you don't have spring solstice plans yet, I promise this will be a great start to the season - this event is always a blast and I look forward to it every year.  I know an $80 donation is a lot of money - but Next Step is the real deal: the difference that this non-profit is able to make in so many young people's lives every year is seriously mind blowing - and it's those donations that allow them to make their magic happen.

And every penny still counts, so if you want to help out but can't afford the price of the ticket, here's where you can donate.

Much love,

Mike
